What I Will Always Remember About the Houston Book Rave

I tried to do this post on Facebook but I think I can only tag so many people before it quits.  So I moved it here!

Here are the things I learned and/or will remember from the Houston Book Rave this weekend

1.  Angela Corbett is very likely my other half.  We need to move closer to one another immediately.
2.  Mary Ting and I should never try and drive to an event together.  We are waaaay too nervous and need a chaperone.  Thank goodness for my mom!
3.  The look on the faces of Dawn Pendleton, Angela Corbett, Misty Baker, my mom and Lori Wilt while discussing dinosaur porn will forever be embedded in my brain.
4. Kimberly Knight is an awesome table mate and I was thrilled she suggested we trade books!  I can't wait to read hers.
5.  Jennifer L. Armentrout and Rachel Vincent are super nice in person, and took my fangirling over them in stride :)
6.  Katie Bartow squealing when we FINALLY met one another in person!  She gives the best hugs!
7.  Yara Santos and I secretly checking each other out in a restaurant making sure the other was who we thought before saying hi.
8.  Kristi Cook recognized me in the hallway as we passed one another!  I gave her a huge hug, so thrilled to finally meet her in person.  I remember reviewing Haven for her during my book blog days.  I looked for her the rest of the time but never saw her again.  Totally regret not getting a picture with her.
9.  Meeting so many amazing readers. There is no other feeling like having people tell you they read your book and loved it.  I'll never get used to that.
10.  Meeting Angie Hulsman, one of the members of my street team at the event.  She brought me a present and I will cherish it forever!  My first present from a reader!  I wish I could have spent more time with her just talking about books.
11.  Toni Aleo will make me laugh ALWAYS.  Her waving at me in her Halloween mask while coming down the hall put an instant smile on my face.  She makes me giggle like only a few people can.
12.  Heidi McLaughlin has awesome pom-poms and can shake them better than a Texas Cowboy cheerleader any day of the week!  *wink*
13.  L.B. Simmons is one fashionable chick!  She always looks amazing and has the cutest boots ever.
14.  S.L. Scott has a smile that can light up a room.
15.  K.A. Robinson is the sweetest.  When my mom and I looked lost in the hallway, trying to find someone to unlock a room, she stopped what she was doing and asked if she could help us.
16.  Katy Evans packing up and getting ready to go, but taking time to sign just three more books I bought for some friends.  She acted like she had all the time in the world and couldn't have been sweeter.
17.  I enjoyed sharing a table in the mingle room with Olivia Cunning.  Her fans are crazy about her!  She has so much fun asking them who their favorite rocker is, and making them groupies!
18.  Miranda Kavi is adorable.  Even after being exhausted from signing all day.
19.  Bloggers rock my world.  Seriously.  I remember very well the time it takes to blog.  I made a point to give them a ton of signed swag and enjoyed meeting them all!
20.  The volunteers at the event could not have been nicer and more helpful.  I was asked every time I turned around if I needed anything and was okay.  They were all amazing and I thank them for volunteering their time.
21.  Trini and Damaris seriously know how to throw an event.  I loved meeting the two of them and hate that I didn't get a picture with both of them at the same time.  I couldn't have asked for a better signing, for my first!

I had so much fun.  I could go on and on with my list.  The only thing I wish had been different??  I didn't find a "Everything Is Bigger In Texas" shirt like I was hoping!  HAHA!

COVER REVEAL

Hi Everyone!  Before I begin my post... go ahead... scroll down.  Look at that beauty.  I know you want to.  It's okay.  I'll wait right here until you come back from taking a sneak peek........................................ Pretty huh?  Well before I get into that, let me tell you that as you read this I am probably en route to my very first book signing.   Now, when I say first, I mean as an author.  I've been to LOTS of signings as a lover of books and authors, but this is the first time I will also get to attend as an author!  I am beyond excited, and I confess, a little nervous too!

I am thrilled to be bringing my mom along with me.  She's going to help me at my table but more than that, the two of us always have so much fun together.  I'm excited to see some of my friends and looking forward to making new ones, and of course, I will be fangirling over some authors with everyone else!  This should be a really great weekend.  Be prepared for lots of pictures and a post when I get back from the Houston Book Rave.

Now, the reason you are likely reading this is because you are curious about PRETTY LITTLE DREAMS the sequel to Pretty Little Lies!  I'm thrilled to not only share the cover with you, but the full jacket, showing you the synopsis as well.  The release date for the novel is January 13, 2014!

When I saw the photograph from Stephanie from This Modern Romance, I knew that this was my Luke and Olivia.  I messaged her and held my breath until she returned my message.  I'm thrilled that she was willing to let me showcase her beautiful work as my cover.

Laura at Bookfabulous designs had to put up with a lot from me.  I am very picky and unwilling to settle for less than my vision and she was patient, kind and so easy to work with.  Thank you Laura for bearing with me and helping me make my vision a reality.

Book Two, Cover Reveal, Blog Tour and Supernatural!

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while.  It's something I need to do more often!  I will work on that.    What are you all up to?  I've been writing like crazy!  And in between writing I've been watching a lot of the show Supernatural.  

Do any of you watch this show?  My friends told me it was awesome and that I was missing out.  I started watching the first season and now I'm on season six and I am totally OBSESSED with the show.  I seriously can't get enough of Sam and Dean.  Those boys are gorgeous.  There might be reference to the show in the second Pretty Little Lies novel, Pretty Little Dreams.

Houston Book Rave!

Calling all Texans!  I am SUPER excited to announce my very first signing!  I will be signing at the HOUSTON BOOKRAVE on November 1st!
